Re: Black Belt Movers San Diego

It appears as though they are insured under "Tue Mover" out of Savannah, GA for licensing and liability purposes and doing business as Black Belt Movers. You might find more information on them there. I cannot see that they own any trucks or trailers.

Re: Black Belt Movers San Diego

Do you have a DOT#? I couldn't find anything on these guys in the FMCSA's database, which either means a) they are local movers b) aren't licensed or c) are a van line affiliate. Personally, I've never heard of them and I don't find any record of them on MovingScam.com. You might do a couple of thin...

Re: Good moving company from Boston to San Diego?

Hi Statsnerd, Sorry for the delayed response, I was actually hoping one of the pro volunteers would take this one. I don't see where Bigfoot moving has an affiliation with Atlas, although they may have a partnership with John Palmer moving. I would make sure to do research on both using the guide la...

Re: Good moving company from Boston to San Diego?

Thanks Jeff, We contacted bigfoot moving. An agent then showed up first saying he was with bigfoot and then said that he was with John Palmer moving and storage as an Atlas agent. He said bigfoot wouldn't be able to do it as interstate, but one of his partners would be able to do the move. He had tw...

Re: Good moving company from Boston to San Diego?

This will depend a lot on how fit you are versus how much money you want to spend. The least expensive way is going to be to pack yourself, rent a truck, load the truck, drive across country, unload the truck and unpack. This keeps you in control of the move and is the least expensive. You're also i...

Aside from Andy's and Moovers Inc. on the left, you could try looking at the Super List here:

Re: From San Diego to Vancouver, Canada. Help!

Atlas/Ace are fine - just be aware that the price may go up or down based on the actual weight. Ask them by how much.

No reason to get any more quotes. 3 is enough, and there aren't that many carriers that can do a cross-border move properly anyway.

Re: From San Diego to Vancouver, Canada. Help!

Thank you, Noone,

Is Atlas and Ace relocation still good?

Any other suggestion/advice we should take into consideration?

Re: From San Diego to Vancouver, Canada. Help!

All three are good companies capable of handling the move. Note that two are giving binding quotes, so unless the goods you are actually shipping are way off, that is what you will pay. If the driver feels the estimate is way off, he will let you know before they start loading. In any event, double ...
