Which to choose

Postby Chubnik » Wed Aug 18, 2010 4:12 pm

My family and I are looking to hire a mover here in WA, we are looking and Friends and Family Moving $ Storage from Kent and Western Van & Storage. Anyone had any dealings with either of these two?

Not sure where you are, but I met the owner of Apex Moving and Storage (Agent for Stevens Van Lines) at the AMSA convention in Feb. Seems like a good guy. He's located in Puyallup, WA. Dean Savage (800) 643-8896.

Apex has good reviews and remarks here for local moves (from the Superlist):
--Apex Moving & Storage LLC (Stevens) in Puyallup.
This company with MC #441701 also does business as Apex Movers LLC. Its phone numbers are 253-864-7870 and 800-643-8896 and its website at www.apexmovers.com is very nice.
"trinity" gave Apex a rave review for a 33-mile move in 8/06:- "They were the only company of 3 that I called that would even come give me an estimate, and they were just great! . . . They were on time, put up door protectors, covered the carpets, wrapped my new leather couch beautifully, used less time than they estimated. I very highly recommend them.":

He came back to add in 9/07 that a co-worker had recently used them for a local move and was very pleased--the cost came in under the estimate:

"humanbungee" moving to CA in 12/06 chose Crown but she got a quote from Apex. She posted that they use Stevens' authority for interstate moves - they were going to provide a dedicated truck:

"kbseattle" gave Apex an excellent review for a local move in 8/07, saying that they charged about $400 for 2 men and a truck for 4 hours and were very careful:

Check out the Superlist for other companies near you, especially if you're moving interstate.

Thanks Bill for the kind words. We would certainly love to help with any moves in the Northwest.
