In the summer of 2011, I started working as a sales rep in the moving industry. Every week I’d speak with hundreds of customers trying to plan their moves. One consistent complaint I’d hear from nearly every customer was how confusing and time-consuming it was just to figure out how to move.

After a year of listening to customers plea for a better way, I decided to fix the problem. I quit my job as a moving company sales rep and with my co-founder, Jason Pancake, we launched moveBuddha. The company has evolved quite a bit since those early days but the primary mission has always remained the same, Make Moving Easier.

Moving isn’t just about hiring a company or renting a truck anymore. From portable containers and freight trailers to shells, cubes, and traditional movers, there are a lot of options to choose from. Figuring out which one is right for your move can take hours.

But we’ve spent the past 6 years mapping out the moving industry and building a technology platform that allows customers to find great companies at affordable rates in no time.
