MovingScam.com has so much information, it’s often hard to know where to begin. Over 13 years of data has been collected in the form of articles, reviews and user posts to the message boards that organization has been a real problem. In 2013, MovingScam.com launched a new web site that gave it a modern look and feel, and organized many of the elements of the old site into easier, more concise menus and easier access to that information. You can find just about anything you need, if you know where to look.
Menus
During the design phase of the new website, we made a conscious decision to move towards a more modern design. This made things a little easier for us, and we hoped, easier for our users.
The new design allowed us to condense many menu items which were listed down a very long sidebar on the old page, into menus that displayed several items within a category. Our “Reviews”, “Articles” and “Links” menu items all have sub-menus that will take you to relevant links on MovingScam.com. Hovering your mouse over any of these menu items will present a sub-menu allowing you to go directly to the page you may be looking to view. “Articles”, for example, has a sub-menu for our most popular article: “How to Find a Reputable Moving Company”, as well as other articles that may be relevant to your move or moving scams. In addition, we created two new categories from which we can sort additional articles, “Moving Tips” and “Before You Move”, each containing information helpful to different aspects of your move.
In addition to hovering your mouse over a menu item, clicking the menu item has a direct link as well.
The “Reviews” menu item is associated with our “Review Verification System”, originally meant to speed up the process of both submitting and verifying reviews on our end. You can read more about the RVS in our “Consumers Guide to the Review Verification System”, but if you simply find this too difficult or time consuming to use, simply place your review in the “Reviews” message board forum and we’ll get it to where it needs to go.
Clicking the “Links” menu will take you to many popular and useful links that can provide additional information about your review. Hovering your mouse over the links menu will display the links for the “Super List” as well as moving industry news we find useful to our visitors.
