Thanks Bill! I agree - the goal has always been to match people with reputable companies, and it was time for the article to be updated.

I'm doing good Lee, thanks for asking! The constant stories of scammers took a toll on me, and my attitude was showing it, so the break from movingscam was much needed. I'm back now, but I have a lot of catching up to do. I started a website design/hosting business in 2013 that keeps me busy, but I ...

Hey guys, I haven't been able to spend as much time on the message boards as I should, but I caught this conversation and I think you're right about the " How to find a reputable moving company " article needing some changes. I've updated the article to let people know that it's not necessary for al...

Re: Joyce Van Lines!
Hi SpiderSword, Joyce has been one of our endorsed movers for years. That may not mean much on some websites that advertise for anyone, but our endorsed movers aren't just any old mover that comes along. Companies in our endorsed list don't end up there because they needed a place to advertise. Our ...

Delay in new topic approvals
The website was hit by a spam bot last week, adding over 9000 new topics to the moderation queue. I've been busy cleaning out the spam and approving the legitimate topics, but some of them are over a week old, so I apologize for the delay in your message being approved.

Re: User JAHaddow needs your help
I don't post much these days, but I hear about this the other day and this one is important to me. It looks like they're almost 1/2 way to their fundraising goal. Art has been a helpful and friendly "face" on the MovingScam.com forums for years and I know there are a lot of people here who...

Re: Deregulation returning to Florida?
Florida residents can find their state representatives here:
State Senators: http://www.flsenate.gov/
State House Representatives: http://myfloridahouse.gov/
Not very exiting, but the bill is available to read here:

Re: Class action anti-trust law suit against van lines
For what it's worth.... there's another new class-action law suit with the same complaint. This one is in Illinois: m The additional case seems to add merit to the complaints, however, it will be the courts who eventually decide who is right or wrong. In the meantime it's good to hear so many differ...

Re: Class action anti-trust law suit against van lines
It seems as though a few folks thought I was trying to pick a fight, however, I would rather have a thoughtful discussion. Thank you Fred for taking the high road here. It's nice to hear about the actual calculations with your driver and the comparison to the actual fuel charges. Has anyone else don...

Re: Class action anti-trust law suit against van lines
Actually, the case complaint is about how the fuel charge is calculated, not the cost of the fuel. I'd love to hear opinions from people who have taken the time to read the actual complaint.

Class action anti-trust law suit against van lines
I wanted to bring some attention to a class action law suit filed this March which names all of the major van lines, the AMSA, and un-named moving companies who have used the industry standard 400-N tariff. The tariff is the price structure used by moving companies to determine the cost of a move. T...
