Re: MOVEX
A company that did many of their moves - Broadway Express at www.broadwayexpress.net - is endorsed by this website and is still in business. You could contact them. Movex booked moves but as far as I know, other companies did the actual transporting for them. If you remember your driver's name from ...

Re: Massive Moving Damage - Will Baker Help?
For the record, where is Wizard of Oz Moving located and why did you choose them? I see that on an earlier thread Big Lee recommended a number of reputable movers to you. It's good to know that Baker stepped up to the plate. I know of one prior case (in NJ) where they also compensated the customer f...

Re: Over estimating weight / Weight allowance math
2. You have uncovered a very interesting strategy used by some movers and not others. When you receive a NTE price, and the actual weight is lower than the NTE weight, you owe less. Some movers will give you the difference in price as a credit for every 100lbs under the NTE weight. This rate is les...

Actually, the only moving company I have ever seen advertise 24-hour phone access is Humboldt (United) in Boston, as posted on their website: Toll Free Dial:(855) 894-5558 (on call 24 hours a day) Mailing Address: Humboldt Storage & Moving Canton Commerce Center 100 New Boston Drive Canton, MA 0...

Re: expedited move CA --> FL
Instead of using Move builders oontact some of the other companies you have talked to and see about loading services. You can also contact on on the other end for unloading services. If they can guarantee the days and you provide the labor this seems to be your best bet. I know this thread is old, ...

Re: UBOX by Uhaul vs Door to Door
To the OP - I just reviewed your other thread. From what you say there, I agree with you that a Door to Door container is your best option. I do share Lee's concern about the wooden container. You might try contacting ABF on the chance that they would match or come close to the Door to Door quote. T...

Re: LA Moving Companies
I would still request Broadway to come out, but since they already quoted you -- I'm willing to bet you will see a similar quote even after they came out to look... Broadway Express does not do in-home estimates. They are a freight company and the customer pays for the actual floor space used when ...

Re: Review for JORDAN RIVER MOVING & STORAGE, Kirkland WA
It's always a good idea to Google the name of a moving company you're considering plus the word "complaints" or "reviews." As MM says, comments are very mixed. However, there are a substantial number of bad reviews on the Internet, for example here - m - and some of the favorable reviews may have be...

Re: Auto Transport Reviews (see p. 31 for companies we endorse)
I just looked at the Golden Key Express website and was impressed by how it has been redesigned. There are loads of rave reviews posted that have been sent in by customers, complete with detail that makes them not only impressive but absolutely believable - m People looking for an auto transporter m...
