Re: advice on claiming insurance on broken items

Thanks for your thoughts. Is this intlmover again, or another guest?

Well, I do hope Rainier will work with me on this. But I still have yet to even get a response...

Re: I am so frustrated!

Just thought I would note that, after many calls and conversations and quotes from various agents and direct shippers, I used Trans Global Auto Logistics to move our 2005 Subaru (they used Hoegh Autoliners). Picked up the car in Amsterdam last month without a problem and all has been going well sinc...

Re: advice on claiming insurance on broken items

It's been more than 45 days, but less than 9 months. Delivery was in mid or late Nov, so just under 4 months. It took us a while to get settled--we bought all new furniture--and I spent a month away in the States. We just bought our last pieces of furniture earlier this month. Since these are our fa...

advice on claiming insurance on broken items

I just unwrapped a couple of items from our international move and found they were damaged. They are wooden carvings we picked up while traveling in Thailand. I specifically pointed them out to the agent who did the in-home survey (for the quote) as being our favorite possesions and being very fragi...

Freight forwarders vs. direct shippers for overseas car move

Hello all, I need to ship my car from FL to Switzerland, but am willing to pick it up in one of the European ports (Amsterdam, Zeebrugge, Bremerhaven, etc.). I wanted to go with a direct shipper, but both Hoegh and Wallenius suggested I should probably go with a freight forwarder since I'm new to th...

Anyone used TRANS GLOBAL AUTO LOGISTICS?

Hello all,

I got a very good quote from Trans Global Auto Logistics to move my car from Florida to Europe and was wondering if anyone had used them before?

Thanks.

Re: I am so frustrated!

Hi Kellymorph, I was wondering if you ended up using Trans Global Auto Logistics. I got a really good quote from them to move my car from Tampa to Europe via the Jacksonville port. I'm wondering if you had used them, and if so, what was your experience? Would you recommend them? Has anyone else used...

Re: car -ro/ro - international shipping

Hi, I need to ship my car ('05 Subaru Outback XT) from Florida or Georgia to Switzerland (or closest port). I've requested a quote from Wallenius and would also like a quote from Haul, but I can't seem to find their contact info. Could someone please let me know how to contact Haul? Is that the full...

Re: Question about RainierOS

p.s. I also wanted to add that Ranier used Olympic Moving (I shipped from Northern VA / Washington DC area) to do the in-house quote and packing/pick up. The packers (while needing some brushing up on their spelling) were courteous, professional, and very efficient--they even called to ask if they c...

Re: Question about RainierOS

Reporting back as requested. Once in Europe I dealt mainly with EUROUSA in London and Luker Freight in Geneva. My stuff was delivered in Switzerland very efficiently a couple of weeks ago. Total cost was around $2,800. Everything arrived in it's original condition and the only additional fee I had t...

Re: Question about RainierOS

Tim, Thank you for that--it makes me feel much better. By the way, I did get three other quotes and Ranier came in at just over half the amount of the others. (Switzerland is apparently an expensive country to deliver shipment.) I simply couldn't afford the others, but was afraid the Ranier quote wa...

Question about RainierOS

Hi, I'm moving to Switzerland from the mid-atlantic region and have gotten a quote from Rainier Overseas. They sent a local agent to do an in-house estimate and have quoted me about $2,600 for 200 cubic feet of stuff to include packing and door-to-door service. It seems reasonable to me, but I would...
