I-77 Tunnels

Are there any drivers out there that know the status of the tunnel projects in WV and VA? I'm driving up there in a couple of weeks and don't want to get stuck in another 2 hour backup.

Re: What happend to Nationwide relocation being on the blacklist

Does anyone know why California has the most lawyers and New Jersey has the most toxic waste dumps?

Re: MI to NC

I had a great move with Corrigan from Detroit to Raleigh in 2006.

According to the Corrigan driver who moved us Corrigan was buying Premier.

Here's a million dollar idea: Maybe somebody should start a "Better Better Business Bureau Bureau" where consumers could file complaints about the various Better Business Bureaus around the country. The BBBBB--I can see it now!

Best of luck,

My brother had a great Detroit to St. Louis move with DMS, and I had a great Detroit to Raleigh move with Corrigan.

How critical is destination agent research?

As I was working on my taxes and thinking about last year's move, a thought occurred to me... in all the exhaustive research I conducted about the movers on the Detroit end, I never asked a single question or did any research on who the destination agent in Raleigh was going to be. Was this a glarin...

Paris Hilton scammed by movers??

I usually hate Hollywood gossip, but I thought this was interesting: There was an article in the paper today that says the contents of a storage unit rented by Paris Hilton were auctioned off for nonpayment of rent. She said she had been paying a moving company and was "shocked and surpised" to lear...

Yes I'm still here... I have just been afraid that if I post too much one of the hysterical "guests" will accuse me of being a Navy SEAL on the UVL payroll or something equally ridiculous!

Re: Mayflower Transit:: New Colors

I've seen a few All American trucks around Raleigh in this new color scheme.

Re: Moving from Dallas to Research Triangle Park, NC in 2.5

I would say that the three largest and most capable of doing self hauls in Dallas would be the United agents.... Armstrong, Suddath, and McCollisters.... For the delivery end, Armstong and McCollisters both have local offices here in the Raleigh/Durham area. The local Armstrong crew that unloaded m...

Re: need help

Nope, don't do it. Now, call me crazy, but isn't that blue tractor/trailer at the top of their About Us page for a racecar team? The top of the truck, and its gas tank, even say "racing". It's tough to get a really good look, but is that a refrigeration unit on that trailer as well? If you look rea...

Re: Mover or UPS?

My sister moved from Michigan to California back in the late 80s using UPS... back then, if you had more than a certain number of boxes (I don't remember how many) they came out and picked up for free. However, I don't know if they still do that.

Re: Bekins Van Lines, anyone familiar?

I would suggest a slightly different strategy:- call DMS and Corrigan in the Detroit area and ask whether they would be interested in doing the move. They are excellent companies and they might be able to pick you up after making a delivery in your area of OH. The Corrigan driver who did our recent...

Re: atlas or united -- help me decide

I just moved from Detroit to Raleigh using Corringan and had a great experience. My brother moved from Detroit to St. Louis six years ago using DMS and he had a great expereince. I think you'll be safe either way.
