Re: ReloCube: How Early Should I Reserve?

Do they charge a storage or "holding" fee depending on the length of time? I can't imagine that they would do so indefinitely at no cost, or would they?

Re: I NEED HELP

Origin? Destination? Clarity? Are you planning to pack everything and load like you want a u-load they haul you unload situation or are you looking for a full service mover? You say you live on "Main Street" with no parking - how did you move in? Is there a lawn where you can have containers dropped...

Re: Unhappy with mover's insurance claim decision

To answer your question about the "release". No - reputable moving companies do not request a signed release in advance of sending the check. Otherwise - what is the incentive to send the check after receiving it? They can say they sent you cash or a money order (untraceable currency) and that you j...

Re: when you get scammed. how do you find an attorey to take your case

I have a question for those who have been through the legal process - - - - if a customer pays by check and MAILS that check and is then defrauded/scammed - will anyone help prosecute a mail fraud case? It's just a thought that popped into my brain this morning - wait - it's gone!

Re: furniture pads

Wow - sounds like dolphinwrap which is ridiculously expensive - I've seen it used in international moving because the pads obviously never come back from wherever they end up - but it is NOT cheap stuff. I've recommended to my C.O.D. self-storage bound customers that they start perusing garage sales...

AZ - do unto others. Have you ever had one bad review? Is that how you would want yourself or your agency remembered by that ONE black mark? Please member that this site is to help educate the moving public, not to attack businesses that aren't scamming people.

Re: insurance claim and arbitration, what should I know?

Mover here - and from what my claims department tells me about a claim that we have (in my opinion) justifiably denied, and is going to arbitration - if we win then the customer can STILL sue us even though the arbitration is termed "binding". If that's the case - you have nothing to lose except you...

Re: **A Job Well Done

And how sad a day when a moving company employee thinks that INTER means within the state of California. A move WITHIN a state is an INTRAstate move, a move BETWEEN states is an INTERstate move.

Re: **Has anyone used Certified Moving in New Hampshire?

If I read the comments correctly - BEFORE the move began, the customer said "we aren't moving _____ (piece of furniture)" and the moving company suggested not amending the cube sheet, estimate and OFS before move day to reflect the change in one piece of furniture. I could be reading it wrong altoge...

Re: Opinions please?

Any chance your hubby's employer has contracts with movers? Even if they don't offer the benefit to all employees - they could have a contract with a van line which extends the terms of the contract to employees who are required to make their own arrangements.

Re: furniture damage due to poor loading

Does that mean that professional movers who load but do not drive are not responsible for their work? I'm pretty sure that the company is insured, and they do full service local moves as well as just loading/unloading services. First - let me say that I am sorry your move did not go smoothly. Secon...
