Re: Moving from East TN to Irvine CA

If it were me - and I am not employed by ANY of the following - I would contact the following and ask for a visual, in-home estimate and a written, not-to-exceed price quote: Kwick-Way Transportation (United Van Lines) 800/223-3552 appalachian Moving & Storage (Bristol, VA - but they are close -...

Re: Moving from East TN to Irvine CA

Give us a city in TN and we'll make some recommendations - - - - start with van line agents (United, Atlas, Allied, Graebel, Mayflower, Bekins . . . . I know I am leaving someone out). Not SOUNDALIKES - the real deal - ask at least 3 to come in and perform a visual survey and provide you with a writ...

Re: Student moving from Boston to SF

What do you have in your apartment that you cannot sell and live without? If you can fit what you MUST have into a few boxes, suitcases, etc. - either take it on the plane as excess baggage, put it in your car, or send it by UPS to yourself. For 2,100 pounds, going the 3080 miles that you are moving...

Re: ALERT - avoid Four Seasons Moving and Storage Inc. (not formerly TLC)

One of my favorite quotes - and I'm almost ashamed to admit it comes from Judge Judy - but perhaps she could be the new "moving judge"????

She says (repeatedly) beauty fades, stupid is forever.

No matter how you spell stupid, stuepid, stuppidd - I think the saying fits!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: FAKE REVIEW - four seasons is one of the best companies

I could have a field day with the spelling and grammar alone of these "two" posters - but perhaps "she is a wife and doesn't drive" amuses me the most. Women have many rights in this country, we no longer HAVE to wear skirts, the Catholic church doesn't even make us wear hats in church any longer - ...

Re: Pick the wrong mover?!! look at my photos. this could happen to you

First, my apologies on behalf of the honest, legitimate people who work in this industry for your having to go through what you did. Second - YOU GO! That website is phenomenal - fight back - I am proud of you. I am so impressed that you had so many before pictures - it is hard to dispute fact when ...

Which one of them came to do the in-home survey and provided you with a written estimate? Even local movers do that.

Re: CARGOTAXIUSA.COM???

Personally - I'm enamored with the stock photo for customer service - have seen that one on everything from superstore chains to cosmetic company and eve (choke) other moving companies' websites. But the winner is . . . . . . and now I am SURE they will take it off their website as it is no longer t...

Re: Small Move From Brooklyn to Berkeley

The coverage that a mover offers, valuation protection, covers loss and damage. Sounds like your renters' insurance coverage does not cover damage. IMO most moving claims are for damage, not loss. However - keep in mind that those items you pack yourself are ONLY covered by the mover if the entire c...

Re: nationwidemovingpros is not reputable

As stated in our User Agreement, the claims process only applies to the shipment of goods. It does not apply to complaints about the attributes or quality of goods received. Therefore, we are unable to reverse this transaction or issue a refund.[/i] I would reply that I did not receive the shipment...

Re: Semi-local move.

First and foremost - GREAT JOB starting early and asking lots of questions. We are all here to help you make this transition successful. Whilte not cross-country this is still a long-distance move. Additionally - every 4 BR house is different from every other 4 BR house - so a little more of a descr...
