Re: Help Moving from S.Fl to Queens, NY

I priced your move through my van line as follows: 1500 lbs Miami, FL to Queens, NY, $10,000 full value coverage with a zero deductible, no packing @ $1950.00. 8)

Re: Help - I already paid a deposit for Atlas Smart Move!

A $100 deposit isn't out of line. You already got a price from Atlas Smart Move & agreed to it, why would you use ABF, even if they matched the price you agreed to? 8)

Re: Move from Seattle to SF Bay Area

I just used Spaeth as an Origin Agent for a short notice, "high value" relocation. They were outstanding. Truth be said, I'm also an Allied Agent.

I've done some deliveries for ShipSmart & the incoming shipments all seem to be well packed/wrapped when I received them. 8)

Re: OZ Moving & Storage , California

It's called "deregulation". Any Agent of any Van Line can establish their own minimum weight, subject to the minimum weight of the Van Line. My Van Line has a 1,000# minimum, however, I can set any other minimum I want, just so I don't go under 1,000#. 8)

Re: Moving to not-yet-known location, will need belongings stored: any advi

That's way you want to use a major van line for storage @ origin & transportation to the final destination. That way, there is no "finger pointing" as to where any damage occurred. The Agent for the van line will put your shipment into storage in transit, in there warehouse, pending final transp...

I recommend Hazelwood Transfer & Stg, I know John McCann the owner personally. They are an Agent for Allied Van Lines & also "follow the rules". 8)

General Moving doesn't show a DOT or MC number on their web page as required. Big RED FLAG. Also, love the photo of the FREIGHT TRUCK on their web page. 8)

Re: Need advice Ft. Lauderdale to Central NJ

Call 3 of the major van lines (Allied, North American, United) & request an "in home" Estimate where they actually come to your house to see what's being moved. Only then can you compare services/prices & determine how much you will spend on your move. Did anyone actually come to your house?...

Re: Need Advice on move from CA to SC

Looks like you have used find-a-mover site(s) on the internet. Stay away from those sites. Call 3-4 agents for major van lines & have them come to your residence & do an in-home Estimate. Call Allied, Mayflower, United, North American (Alex is a good Agent). Only then can you figure out what...

What's wrong with this picture?

Client gives everything they own to someone they haven't even met?

Client is willing to spend over $15,000 without even meeting the rep. from the company doing their relocation!!

I'm sorry, but it's hard to feel sorry for the client, if this story is true
