Re: I can no longer send my potential customers here for info gathering

Well, here's my 2 cents worth about the deposit issue. I am a small Agent of big Orange. A lot of my moves have to have custom wood crates made ahead of time for the move. I charge the deposit based on the amount of crating I need to do. That way, if the move cancels at least I've been paid for the ...

Re: Northern Cali to Mid-Missouri Move

Remember, in the moving industry, you usually get what you pay for. Have any 3 of the major van lines (Allied, North American, Mayflower, United) come to your house & give you an actual on site, written estimate. 8)

Re: Storage estimage - is this normal?

The agent/salesman mis-informed you. The 1st day of stg is for just that & the warehouse handling (putting the goods away into the storage vaults). So, even if he mis-informed you, the service was still performed & will still be charged for. 8)

Re: Storage estimage - is this normal?

What's "wrong"? Your interstate move includes 1 loading @ your residence & 1 unloading (in your case) @ the warehouse. The delivery from storage includes 1 loading @ the warehouse & 1 unloading @ the new residence. 2 moves, 2 prices. 8)

Re: Need mover from Santa Monica CA to Rogue River OR

They seem "expensive" because you are probably comparing them to internet movers (rouge movers). How do you think the internet movers can do the same service for 1/2 the reputable movers? The rouges scam you with a low ball original price & then when your goods are on the truck, they say "you ad...

Hmmm. Let's see: "low budget & reliable" shouldn't/can't be used in the same sentence. 8)

Correction NYCmover. Now under Allied's non-bound Tariff, the destination shuttle fee is waived also. This applies to COD shipments only. Makes selling a lot easier. 8)

Re: Did any on here had any experience with "New Way Moving Service&qu

Yes, I'm afraid you're in for a very loooooooooooooong ride. If it makes you feel any better, you're not the only customer to fall for a slick website, slick advertising. The internet is a great tool, but it can't take the place of personal interaction(an actual person coming to your house to give y...

Re: AllStar Movers/Dania FL?

It never ceases to amaze me that people will give everything they own to someone or a company they have never even met!! Wouldn't you ( the client) at least want to see someone "face to face" to at least get a feel of who is handling your goods, even if the salesman isn't the one actually moving the...
