Re: Eagle Moving Group of Boynton Beach Florida using Cross Country Long Distance Movers as Movers.

Do you have copies of any of the paperwork from Eagle Moving Group? I have a feeling they scammed you starting with the name... Eagle Moving GROUP... Most moving companies will have the name Van Lines at the end of their name, i.e. United Van Lines, North American Van Lines, etc. Since they prefer t...

Re: How do I know I’m dealing with the company and not a broker?

I don't know if you have found a mover or completed your move yet. If you dealt with United Van Lines at the corporate level, they would have contacted one of the agents in your city. You see, United Van Lines is a subsidiary of Unigroup, which owns both United and also Mayflower Transit. Both compa...

Re: Scammed by Cardinal Vanlines, Bulls Moving aka All State Moving

I'm sorry that you had to endure that type of obvious crooked moving broker. Since all of your goods have not been delivered you may have a case. I spent 28 years in the moving business with National Moving Companies. Started out as agents of Paul Arpin, Burnham, and lastly Mayflower and United Van ...

Re: Company that Moves and provides junk/donation removal

Most movers are not into the junk removal/donation services unless they are moving a corporate customer.

Your best bet would be to look on Craigslist for that type of service unless the mover has a company they can refer you too.

You may try my friends at JK Moving in Sterling, VA.

Re: JK MOVERS

In looking at your post you mention that JK damaged a desk. First question... What type and amount of valuation did you select PRIOR to the move occurring? Second question - Did you file a written claim? Third question - Did you note the damage on the inventory for the item damaged? Remember, it is ...

Re: Find reputable brokers for self moves?

I don't know if you found a broker that gave you an honest recommendation. You mentioned you want to pack and load. Well, you will be hard pressed to find any carrier that will allow you on their vehicle to load. You should know that is obviously something insurance carriers are not going to accept ...

Re: Any Reputable Movers GA to UT? Maya Van Lines?

This is not the time to be using fly-by-night movers. With the COVID-19 virus, you are taking a great chance by selecting any mover other than a mover that is endorsed on the Movingscam.com Superlist of approved movers. Movers that are shady or provide shoddy service during normal times certainly ar...

Re: Colonial Van Lines Relocation-FL BEWARE!

Sorry to hear that you had such a bad time. This post should actually have been in the report a scam section because you got scammed. My red flag would have flapped in the wind when I saw that your move had been what we call in the business "farmed out." Who contacted Alvarez Movers? Are you saying ...

Hi Tim. How are you? I think of you often, and I can never forget the kindness that you showed to me almost 20 years ago when my computer crashed. I have enjoyed the 16 years of working with movingscam.com. Like yourself, I have not spent as much time as I would have liked, since I was ushered out o...

Re: Interested in opinion about Angie's list

I agree with the pros here. I wouldn't book a move with Angie's List. It isn't the same as looking for a plumber, and they can recommend a licensed plumber. I had to get on Facebook for allowing a company locally here in California to advertise on their platform, and this company never bothered to p...

Hey there NYC Mover... How are you? I do agree that if an estimator cannot do an in-home survey, and he/she and the shipper can do a remote video survey, there should be no reason that it wouldn't work. Items that need special attention can be viewed by the estimator and shared with the third-party ...

Hey Bill.. How are you? I don't get on much since I have retired in 2015. You bring up some good points, especially with the new technology that was not available 10 years or so ago. I like where you say you could use AI to do calculations. A friend of mine who said he couldn't get to every survey u...
