To move appliances

Postby michaelm015 » Mon Apr 24, 2017 1:44 am

I am preparing to move from Mississauga to Ottawa. I want my home appliances to be shifted to the new place. I have consulted one moving company named MoverOne International (url removed by admin as advertising) to move these appliances and my personal belongings.
One of my friends told me that it is important to have a special service on the appliances and mechanical equipment before being moved. What do you think about this? Is it necessary? Please share your suggestions

It is best to check with the manufacturer for each specific appliance.

It is common for Washing Machines and Dryers to have the drum locked in place, and (of course) anything which is hooked to Gas should be unhooked/rehooked by a trained Gas Professional.

TV's also may require special packing. When the movers send the surveyor to your home to survey, they can advise. Plasma TV's pose a problem because they should not be tilted.
