This so-called company is a scam and a fraud. On 6/28/21, I entered into a contract with US Standard Van Lines to pick up my household goods from my UHaul storage unit in San Diego, CA. I advised US Standard Van Lines that I no longer live in CA and that I would be flying cross-country to meet the movers. I arranged for the pick-up date for 7/15/21 with an alternate date of 7/16. Upon my arrival to CA, I contacted this company to confirm the pickup. I was told that they could not pickup on 7/15, but would do so on 7/16. On 7/16, I was informed by their sub-contractor that they could not pickup until 7/17. Of course, after multiple attempts to contact this company (I called at least 20 times and emailed 5-6 times in an attempt to contact them), they said they couldn't pick up on 7/17. Needless to say, I was frustrated, scammed, and traveled half way across the country for NOTHING. I was contacted by a "representative" of the company (who I recently found out has multiple felonies on her record for being arrested on multiple heroin possession charges). This woman would not tell me that US Standard Van Lines would refund my money until I spoke to their attorney. My lawyer contacted their attorney, who never responded and never replied to multiple emails & phone calls. This company unilaterally cancelled this contract by not completing the services. I have submitted a dispute with my credit card company.
This company is a scam. Save your time, money, and sanity and DO NOT ENTER into a contract with them. They are extremely unprofessional, and unreliable. I have submitted a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and will be filing a police report against US Standard Van Lines.
