Re: Review Verification System Online
One thing that I should have mentioned is that the RVS is a subscription based service for Moving Companies. The monthly membership fee is $30 per month. A rate increase may be necessary in the future as administrative costs increase, however, an announcement will be made in the case of such an increase. More information can be found on the RVS here.
Consumers! We need your reviews! Locate your mover after your move by using the "Reviews" button above. Please make sure you enter your invoice number from your move into the appropriate field while creating your review, this will ensure that we are able to verify your move with the mover you used. Most of all, encourage your mover to participate so that others know just how good they are! This service is provided at no cost to you and helps others in finding the best moving company for their move.
This system will eventually replace the super list, but in the mean time, you can find the super list by clicking on the "reviews" button above, and selecting the Super List link to find movers in your area and past reviews on them.
Thank you all for making the last 10 years at movingscam.com so successful! We hope we can continue to serve this community as well as we have in the past.

Re: Review Verification System Online
What will happen to reviews for movers who aren't subscribers?
What will happen to reviews for companies who won't verify it?
What's to stop a scammer from writing a review for himswlf and then verifying it?

Re: Review Verification System Online
Hi MM,
Consumers will be allowed to post a review for any mover who is not part of the program, however, only the latest review for that mover will be displayed. The number of reviews that the mover has will be shown in the header of their personalized page, so we will know if they have more than one review.
Reviews that are unverified will show up as such under the personalized page for the mover being reviewed, and consumers will know to be cautious when using that mover, unless we see several verified moves in addition to an unverified review, and then the other reviews should be taken into consideration. Moving companies will have a chance to respond to posts by the consumer, and the system is designed for the consumer and the mover to begin a dialog to work out any issues they may have, or simply thank the consumer for their business. In addition, the forums and Super List are still available for consumers to ask questions and get help doing research, so if the page for the mover doesn't tell the whole story (and it won't until it catches up with the super list) the more traditional resources that have always been available will still be available in the future.
The same measures are in place in the review verification system that we have used successfully on the message boards for the past 10 years, and we don't talk publicly about what measures we have in place in either system. In addition, movers will be screened prior to being allowed into the program for things like hostage moves or a high number of complaints.
We're still busy implementing the system, but I'm very open to suggestions for improvement. I do feel like this provides a balanced approach to the issues we see every day in these forums, and I believe it adds a lot of "ease of use" features that aren't present now, such as the ability for consumers to search for movers in their area by City, State or Zip code, provides better organization for reviews and the ability for consumers to have their reviews validated by the mover is something no one else on the web is doing. While it does ask that both the mover and the consumer take active participation in the process, I believe that just like the Super List, it will show a pattern over time so that consumers looking at the reviews will have a clearer idea of how a particular moving company performs, and it gives the moving company the opportunity to handle problems directly with their client.
From the mover's perspective, it gives them the ability to manage their reputation through good customer service techniques and respond directly to their clients via their personalized web page, it gives them an area on the site that is all their own and because we are pre-screening moving companies prior to their acceptance into the system, it dramatically lessens the chance that a rogue will slip through, meaning that moving companies will be associated with their peers, real movers.

Jeff,
Our company has 22 locations (Armstrong Relocation). Can we have all companies funneled with one subscription, would be easier to maintain on our side.

Re: Review Verification System Now Live
Hi Moveman,
I responded to your PM, but felt that this was important enough to respond publicly as well. I believe we can do this, but am still learning how the billing side will be handled. I will know more this week and will report back when I have a definite answer as to the "How" it can be done, as I'm sure it can be done. It may require a manual setup of the subscription, but I'm sure we can do it.
Thanks!
Jeff

Re: Review Verification System Now Live
I can now definitively report that we are able to bill a subscription for a group under one credit card. This procedure requires a manual input to our billing system on our end, but it can be done. Affiliates can then be handled separately within the RVS and each location will still have its own dedicated page for their reviews.
