New Site Changes

Over the next month or so, we will be instituting some changes to the web site as suggested by our volunteers and users. We're still in the investigation stages of this procedure, but hopefully we'll be able to institute all the changes listed below:

1. Slim down the endorsed Movers area. I’d like to reduce the width by 1/3, allowing a larger area for the forums.

2. Unread posts, currently marked with a red page icon (with the corner bent over) will be changed to green making them more easily distinguishable.

3. Companies who are part of the RVS will get notifications when a user posts a review to include a link to verify that review. (Disreputable companies are not allowed to become RVS members. An RVS member is clearly marked in their RVS page).

4. Change the colors in some of the text on the forums (PHPBB).
- Post headers should be a dark grey
- The last reply date should be red
- The username that shows up in the post listing will be dark grey and bold.

5. Reorder the forums so they make more sense (Done)

6. Create (if possible) a “Help” section outlining how to use the site by function and “where do I start?”.

Once we know we can make these changes for sure, we'll let everyone know.

I just wanted to let everyone know that the aforementioned changes have been submitted to the programmer and should be finished by next week.

Changes to programs generally brings with it issues. If you notice any problems associated with the above changes, please be sure to let me know.
