"Log Me In Automatically Each Time I Visit" problems

Postby Jeff.Walker » Tue Jun 24, 2014 5:01 pm

We've had this problem for a while now and thought it may be addressed in an upgraded release of the forum software and were not able to replicate the problem on our end, and as such was shelved for far too long. We sincerely apologize for the delay.

After some extensive testing, we think we've come up with a solution to the problem.

The problem:
When logging into MovingScam.com, the "Log Me In Automatically Each Time I Visit" is broken. Each time I come back to MovingScam.com I have to log in again no matter if this option is checked or not.

The solution:
There may be two things that are happening here:
1. If you are clicking the "Logout" option before exiting the site, this feature will not work. Simply close your browser or browse to another web site instead of clicking logout before leaving.

2. Try cleaning out your cookies and history in your browser. This will vary by browser type and version, so you may need to do some research as to how to do this in your specific browser and operating system. Generally speaking:

Internet Explorer:
Make sure you are logged out of MovingScam.com. Click the tool icon at the top right of the browser window and select "Internet Options". Under the "Browsing History" section (2/3 down the page) click "Delete...". This will bring up a new window specifying what you would like to delete. Make sure "history" is checked as well as "cookies and website data". Click "Delete" at the bottom of this page. This may take a few seconds to complete. Log back into MovingScam.com using the "Log Me In Automatically Each Time I Visit" option. To double check that this has worked, once logged in, close your browser using the "X" in the top right hand corner of your browser. Open your browser back up again and navigate to MovingScam.com. If successful, you will see your username next to a "Welcome" at the top right hand side of the site.

Chrome:
Make sure you are logged out of MovingScam.com. Click the options menu button at the top right hand of your browser, represented by three grey bars. Once this menu appears, click "Settings". This will take you to the settings page which will appear in your browser window. To the left of the main page, click "History". This will take you to a new page showing you all of your browsing history. Click "Clear Browsing Data...". This may take a few seconds.

So far, everyone who has had the problem has had it resolved using #2 above. If either one of these options doesn't work for you, you may have a problem with your browser not properly deleting cookies. This has happened in the past with some versions of various browsers and you may need to do some research to see how to manually delete cookies in this instance.
