I don't know how these guys stay in business at these prices. STS Movers arrived on time on our moving day, and with 7 powerful professional guys ran through our huge house with the speed and efficiency of super heroes. They not only packed and moved the heavy furniture and big pieces, but they gave special attention to all the little pieces, ( cords, remote controls, pictures, shoes, belts, lamps, etc.) After they moved in the fully loaded refrigerator, one of the guys brought me a bag containing the watermelon that had been inside of it. He was afraid to leave it inside the fridge in case it caused damage, and I also noticed they had taped the carton of eggs so as not to break any.

Not a dish was broken, not a chipped, scratched or lost item; all furniture and gym equipment was reassembled, including our complicated sleep-number bed. We moved from a 2800 square foot house after 30 years so this was no small task. Moving can be traumatic, but this move was different because of STS----they had more than just a good attitude.

The guys were collectively so professional, funny, kind, patient, and damn good looking! As busy as they were, if I or my daughter tried to lift a box on our own, one of them would always stop what they were doing and gallantly insist on taking over the lifting/carrying task. They really went above and beyond the call. When I had second thoughts about the placement of a piece of furniture, they moved it around to my satisfaction, always making a joke of it instead of acting impatient and annoyed. This caring professional service was not limited to moving day---Don returned all my calls and emails answering all my concerns and questions about the move in the month before the move and picked up the empty boxes after the move.

And to top it off, they were way underpriced and I know they could have easily charged twice what they did. Certainly the other estimates I received online were 3 times what I was charged by STS. I will be the president of the STS fan club for years to come. And my friends, relatives and anyone who listens to me will be calling STS when they move.

Review of STS Movers (Orange County, CA)

Postby stollef » Wed Sep 22, 2010 8:01 pm

  I recently moved from an apartment in Newport Beach to a house in Laguna Beach. I chose to use STS Movers because of the impressive reviews I found on this website. I wasn't disappointed. Don and his crew did a great job! They were friendly, polite, careful, hard-working and efficient. The time and cost of the move came out to be exactly what Don estimated. I am very happy with the move and I plan to use STS Movers again next time I move. I would definitely recommend STS Movers.

Reviews of STS Movers (Orange County, CA) = Great Service

Postby SLJ » Sat Sep 25, 2010 10:25 am

I'm still unpacking here in Pennsylvania, but I wanted to crawl out from the sea of boxes to let you know that your crew did a great job with our recent cross-country (CA to PA) move. Thank you. I shopped long and hard before I found STS movers, and I'm glad I didn't get stuck with one of the brokers or one of the big name outfits. Your price was competitive, and your service was deluxe. You picked up on time, shipped on time, delivered on time. The driver kept in touch throughout the drive and ultimately was a little ahead of schedule. Once here, the two guys did not stop working. The inventory was spot-on, everything arrived, everything intact. I could not expect better service.

Please thank your driver Bill, and the crew. Great, professional job.

After doing 2 weeks worth of research and obtaining a dozen (telephone and online) quotes I finally narrowed it down to 2 companies; STS Movers and another larger, corporate mover. Needless to stay I ended-up going with Don at STS because he gave me an offer I just couldn't refuse and even adjusted his schedule to make it more convenient for mine. Don and his team moved me from California to Washington seamlessly. They carefully packed, disassembled and moved my 3 bdrm house in S. California to my new house in Washington. The very reasonable rate Don charged me even included all the shrink wrapping, wardrobes and packing of our 60" flat screen TV. Don and the STS crew did an amazing job. I would recommend STS to ANYONE who needs anything moved, whether it be local or interstate. A truly great mover.

I have now worked with Don and his team twice (from Los Angeles to Dallas and back), and I would HIGHLY reccomend his services. Don is by far the most honest, reliable and fairly priced mover I have ever worked with. He has integrity, and is extremely personable. His team is polite, friendly and takes extra precaution with items of value.

I have now referred a close personal friend to Don for his services, and wouldn't hesitate again. In an industry where honesty can be questionable, STS Movers is without question the best.

Thanks for making my moves worry-free and much easier Don!

My wife and I were having such a difficult time finding a reliable moving company for our California to Massachusetts move. My Lord did this site come in handy. The amount of information to wade through was huge but eventually we settled on three different companies to contact.

1. Moovers
2. Joyce
3. STS Movers

We settled on STS primarily due to the glowing reviews on this site, followed by how at-ease Don made us feel when he arrived at our home to give us an estimate. The pricing he gave us was extremely competitive.

On moving day Don arrived with five employees (some of which had been working for him for years, which we appreciated). They proceeded to knock out the packing of our large 3 bedroom house by the end of the day (it turns out we had over 11,000 pounds by the time everything was said and done).

We ended up driving and our trip took 3 1/2 days, the movers arrived just behind us two days later.

Everything, and I mean everything, was carefully wrapped and packed in a numbered and inventoried box. All arrived safe and sound and placed into the correct room.

I'm definitely planning on using them again if at all possible, and I would recommend them all day long.

Thanks again for all the info to everyone who posts here.

Best,

Alex Vazquez

These guys were great. This was my first time hiring movers and will definately use them again. Don was very helpful answering all my questions about pricing and everything else. He made me feel very at ease.

When the guys got there they immediately got to work and had the whole move done in about 4 hours (and they were actually short one guy who didn't make it back from AZ).

I had some very wobbily IKEA furniture that was on it's last legs. I wasn't expecting it to make the move. They wrapped it all up very carefully and they all made it in one piece.

The final bill was less than I was expecting to pay. All in all it was a great experience and I will use them again. They are highly recommended.

Repeat Customer Very Satisfied!

Postby stollef » Thu May 19, 2011 1:45 pm

I have used Don and his crew at STS Movers three times now and I couldn't be more satisfied. The first two times were household moves complicated by the location of my house at the top of an 86 step staircase. This third move involved moving a 700 lb hot tub spa up the 86 steps. I had investigated every other possible way of moving the spa (crane, forklifts, helicopter) to my hilltop location but all were either impossible or impractical. Then I called Don and he made it work. He made several site visits before the move to plan and to design custom made equipment to enable 6 men to safely get the job done. He even had his guys go through a carefully choreographed test run before loading the spa on the "sled" and successfully executing the move! I couldn't be more impressed. I especially appreciate how conscientious he is in handling my belongings with care and attentiveness. In three moves now I have not suffered even a single scratch on anything they have handled.

Don always gets the job done, at a fair price. And he's a really nice guy! I highly recommend Don and STS Movers.

One word: awesome

OK, more than one word. I am a single woman and had to arrange my move to a new job. Don and STS moved me on very short notice from New Mexico to Oregon. They were professional and careful throughout the move. The quoted price was fair and there was no drama, trauma, or surprises. They thought of everything. I can't recommend them highly enough! Five stars!

After reading all these great reviews about STS Movers, I was actually expecting to receive some sort of customer service from them.

I sent them an email message last week asking them if they could help me with my upcoming interstate move, and they have yet to reply to my email message.

UPDATE 10:02 AM PST: Don just emailed me back and was very friendly and courteous. We have now had a great series of email exchanges with each other -- Don is a really great guy, just like everybody said! :) I also appreciate the tip from rydog to make a phone call instead of sending them an email message.

Call them! Everyone is ridiculously busy right now and pretty much only able to handle what is right in front of them at the time. There is far to much volume to handle all calls and emails for EVERYONE. Call them!
My job is to give the best domestic and international moving services to my corporate clients by using the best movers in the world, regardless of vanline affiliation.
