This review came in through the comments section of the site:

Reza wrote:I just moved from the San Fernando Valley to Orange County on Friday (06-15-12). After doing a little bit of research online, I decided to hire STS movers (located in Irvine). All 3-movers were great, they showed up on time, they were hard workers, nothing was damaged and more importantly.
nothing was stolen/missing! I highly recommend this moving company. It is
rare to find an honest small business online in this day and age. I give them an A+ rating!

I am not being compensated or paid in any way for this review. I work in law enforcement (a Deputy Sheriff) and I'm more than happy to be used as reference to anyone unsure if this is a legitimate company. Feel free to send me an email and I will give you a call about my experience with STS.

ATTENTION ATTENTION!!

STS Movers is the way to go for all you moving needs. If they cover the area your move is in, you NEED to call Don.

My wife and i have been screening movers for around a year. Our belongings were in a storage unit outside Philadelphia PA and we currently live in Las Vegas NV. We were getting hounded by every moving company we contacted asking us for "more details" to "update our packing inventory" it was not a pleasurable experience. That in until we found STS Movers. Don and Sean went out of there way to make up feel comfortable and satisfied. All it took was one call to Don an i knew STS was our moving company.

Sean (our driver) is a great guy! He picked up our items on Labor day, YES a holiday pick-up and He told us then that he would be delivering around 9am Friday the 7th. Well you guessed it, on Friday at 9am we was pulling in.

I would recommend STS to any and all if you need moving services and want a GREAT experience at a fair price with exceptional service CALL DON!!!

Highly recommend STS; Bill and Shawn recently moved me from Los Angeles to Austin, and made the process extremely smooth and stress free.

Very professional from start to finish, from the free in-home estimate, to the packing/loading, to delivery, with updates along the way. Also very quick, as they picked me up on a Wed and delivered Sat morning on schedule.

Great guys, reasonable price, and dependable. Thanks guys and Don!

Because of these rave reviews, I decided to give STS a call. I also decided to give them the benefit of the doubt, day after day, as time slipped by.

Once I found out when I could move into my new place (mid-to-late July), I contacted STS. The following is the chain of unfortunate events.

June 10 - My initial call to STS
June 12 - Bill contacted me and said Sean would call to set up a time for an in-home estimate. Sean called me not too long after. We agreed to meet the following day.
June 13 - Sean came by to do the estimate and said he’d get back to me in 1-2 days.
June 17 - no word from Sean, but I figured maybe they were busy over the weekend moving other people. I called and left a message.
June 18 - I called Bill. He texted me saying Sean had been very ill and will call me tomorrow.
June 20 - I finally heard from Sean. He had been very ill and very busy. Again, I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I was told he passed on the information to Don and Don would get back to me in the next day or so.
June 23 - Hadn’t heard from Don, so I emailed the company asking about the quote. Sean mentioned that they usually email quotes so I figured maybe I needed to contact them with my email. Don emailed me late in the evening with my quote. That was really nice of him seeing as how it was a Sunday. I emailed back with a couple of questions. No reply.
June 25 - I called the number on the quote in the early AM, I think it was Don’s cellphone. I also emailed them again, to contact me, right after the phone call. No response.
June 26 - I called their main line and left a message. Jan returned my call a couple of hours later. I explained what has been going on and now we’ve only got a few weeks for my move. She said she’d contact Don right away and call me back. Should I be surprised I haven’t received a call from either her nor anyone else? I even offered to call Sean or Bill, but she said, “Don is the owner, so you should talk to him”. Unfortunately, it’s just not happening.

At this point, I’m starting to get worried about my time frame and overall getting more and more disappointed with their customer service. I understand this is a very busy time and that Don was very ill. Like I said, I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I would prefer them to flat out tell me, “no, we cannot do your move” than to waste 2.5 weeks of my time holding off on scheduling with another company (who I’m sure are also booking up fast).

In the beginning they said they could do it, now, who knows. I mean, I'm sure they've been booking other people during the past 2.5 weeks I've been waiting. I’m still waiting for a call. Although, I may have to bite the bullet and call another company. I’m going to wait to see what I hear tomorrow. I will also call and email them one last time. If I hear nothing tomorrow, it’s time for me to move on and give this company a negative review in customer service.

Lastly. Everyone has been really great when I get to talk to them. Bill called me back pretty fast initially. He texted me to update me on my quote. Sean was sick, but still called me to let me know what was going on. Don emailed me the quote late at night. Jan was super nice.

Update: June 27 - Called STS. Jan apologized for not getting back to me yesterday. I guess she spoke with Don and he said, "we're not doing any out of state moves for the summer".

Well, it looks like I am SOL and with 2.5 weeks wasted. If you choose to do an out of state move with them, I suggest you call months in advanced if you can (I couldn't since I didn't have an apartment yet). Although they first stated they could do it, because of the time lost in between communication, it's no longer feasible. That was the most frustrating interaction I have ever had.
