sorry again,

Thanks Don, I just received your email. I appreciate it. :)

Like some of the people on these forums, I've had moving problems in the past so my defenses are a bit higher than normal. I should have waited a bit longer before posting... or just given you a call, as the other person suggested. Sorry for the impatience on my end. Our email exchanges have been really fantastic... thanks for all your help and guidance. :)

Hi Don:

This is Giovanni. You moved me out from Los Angeles, CA to Glendale, (AZ, not the other one in CA) :) first week of this past October. And from the recommendations of MovingScam.com I chose your company as you did lots of moves to/from CA and AZ.

I was pleased with the quote and the price and how professional the movers were and how patient they were waiting for me to get my stuff in order with the apartment complex (moving in cashier's check, going to the bank, etc..). The move was flawless, on-time and everything came nice and tightly wrapped.

Thanks again Don.

For those moving to/from SoCal to Arizona, I recommend Don at STS Movers. Sorry for the delay in posting as it's been a month out here and been busy with the new job.

Gio

My husband found STS Movers on Moving Scam.com and we are so glad we used them. They moved everything with tremendous care and efficiency. We were so impressed. We have fragile antiques and large furniture- nothing damaged. No marks in walls or flooring- amazing. Their friendly and professional spirit lasted all through the 12+ hour job. They rebuilt everything that had to be dismantled for moving. They saved us many days of labor. We highly recommend STS.

Just registered to write another glowing review for Don & STS. Don just completed an interstate move from a storage space in Chicago to my LA apartment.

After contacting a number of national companies that struck me as either sketchy, overpriced, or both, I was prepared to fly to Chicago to rent a Penske truck and do the job myself. However, Don was able to quote me a very reasonable price and schedule the job before the holidays. From there, things went as smoothly as I could have hoped. He got the truck loaded and on the road to LA before I even thought to check in (he met a friend of mine at the storage space to load up), he arrived in LA in just 3 days, let me know he would get to the apartment by 9 am the next morning, and showed up right on time with one worker.

The actual unload was quick and easy. The truck was carefully packed, and the move was very smooth; no damage to any of my stuff or the walls in my apartment. On top of being quick, Don and his guy were personable and professional. He kept to his quote and got me unloaded in just an hour.

I highly recommend STS. Don was easy to communicate with, the price was fair, and the move went without a hitch. There's also a real value in knowing that you can trust a mover with your stuff, and I definitely felt that with Don. We plan to use him again for any future moves.

Hired STS Movers for my move from Los Angeles to Las Vegas and they were terrific. Very professional -- quick! Moving is always stressful and having a reliable moving company is a huge blessing! I would use them again and again every time I move! Thanks Don and crew!

We highly recommend Don Schwartz and his crew at STS Movers! They just moved our household from Southern California to Northern California.

Before we found Don, we got quotes from Allied Van Lines and Bekins that were vague and riddled with "could be additional cost" phrases. Don walked through our apartment, did a few mental calculations, and gave us a fixed price!

Don kept in touch with us as we approached our moving day, preparing us for everything that we should expect and answering all our questions. The day of the move he showed up right on time with a large crew that dissembled our furniture and emptied our 2 bedroom+garage apartment in only 3.5 hours.

In Northern California, Bill and Joe unloaded the truck and assembled our furniture in less than 4 hours. Not a scratch, nothing broken, and friendly banter the whole time. Even our new neighbors commented that they have never seen such and efficient team. This company is the best!

If you need a mover, we heartily recommend STS Movers. If you get Bill and Joe on the team, you are blessed.

I would like to add to the chorus of positive reviews for Don Schwartz and STS Movers. I found the company through MovingScam.com and contacted Don for information on moving from San Diego to Phoenix, AZ only a few weeks away. He was able to quote me a very reasonable price for moving and packing and accommodate the date we needed.

On the morning of the move a team of workers arrived, led by our drivers Bill and Jeremiah. At first I was concerned that Don was not there personally but my worries were quickly put aside as Bill and Jeremiah were friendly and professional. Bill organized everything and had his team pack up our entire place in a few hours of hard work. To be honest, after seeing the work they put in, I would have paid much more for the packing service than I was charged, it would have taken us weeks to do it ourselves.

Bill and Jeremiah met us in Phoenix the next morning, right at the arranged time, and now just the two of them, they got everything inside and re-built the furniture that was taken apart in a couple hours of work.

Both my wife and I felt very comfortable with Bill, Jeremiah, and their team of packers the entire time and though I hope we don't have to move again in the near future, I will always use STS Movers if we do. Thanks Bill, Jeremiah, and Don for everything!

My wife and I recently found a new apartment and needed to move her personal things from a 10' x 10' storage unit in the Long Beach, California 90805 area to our new apartment in the Garden Grove, California 92844 area.

We also needed to stop in the Long Beach, California 90807 area to pick up a refridgerator from her parent's house.

The team that helped us move, including Bill, Tyler and Jared did a great job. They didn't break anything and they were able to get the super heavy refridgerator up our narrow stairs and navigate the beast through the tiny front door. We even said a prayer as they were coming up the steps that they would safely get the fridge up the stairs and into the apartment without getting injured.

After the move, we thought to ourselves..."And to think we were going to rent a UHaul and try to accomplish all that work by ourselves." No Way!

The storage unit took only 2 hours to complete and it took another 2 hours to unload everything into our apartment. There was another hour between the storage unit and the apartment to pick up the fridge and to drive from point A to point B.

The total time was 5 hours and we were all moved into our new place and were able to actually sleep in our own bed for the first time.

As a newlywed couple, Don and his team were an answer to our prayers and at an afordable cost to us when our finances are very tight.

Thank you for your help STS Movers and thank you Don for providing such a professional service to the Orange County area!

Sincerely,

Team J&J

This review came in from the comments section of the site:

Gloria wrote:I just was moved from San Diego, CA to Murrieta, CA by STS Movers. I want to let everyone know that they were the best moving company I have had move us over the past 30+ years. Don Schwartz, gave me a great price, they showed up on time, no complaining about loading anything and even came in at the price quoted! I couldn't have been happier. The two men who moved me went all out to get the job done when a sudden time constraint came up in regards to getting the remainder of my things into a storage area before they locked the gates for the night.

This was a very stressful move for me and I have to honestly say that STS Movers made this part of my move so much easier. Not expected but so very much appreciated.

I would reccommend them to anyone.

I have received several emails from Gloria telling me how this job went smoothly.

We went out and did a survey on the job, and I'm glad that she selected his company to do the move. She was definitely in good hands.

We should all send out a get well to Don at STS. He told me the other day that he is stuck in the office while he recuperates from an injury.

hi big lee,
tTnks for posting our customers calls to you. A you stated, with my injury, ive come to appreciate my guys even more. And they have
answered their call to service admirably.
thanks also for the well wishes. they are most appreciated and quite necessary. the story in short.....on christmas eve, after dinner with much family, i went to the local park with all the kids,,because thats what' uncle don does'. in my world their are none more valuable than our children. and in following my uncle warrens lead, may he rest in peace, i never pass up an opportunity to give an atta boy or attagirl to any of our children. if i can make a child laugh i have done well in the eyes of my father. so.....were at the park, 4pmchristmas eve, nephew #1, ethan jumps from the swing and lands about 10 feet from it. me being a little competitive, draw a line in the sand where he landed and proclaim to all those who can hear, that i will fly past that line with the greatest of ease.
Not hard to see where the story turned ugly. I flew throught the air with the greatest of ease,,,,but landed very badly, my left hand hit the ground first and proceeded to be crushed by the rest of my whole self.
many broken bones, they decided to call it seven and a hand that for a few days was seriously in question. after a week we found the dr who would fix me... big shouts to Dr.Dao in costa mesa, thanks doc.. three operations,,ten pins and a whole grip of pain and im healing well and was back on my truck yesterday and was able to lift an ikea nightstand all by my self. oddly emough, when it first happened my mind first thought of the possiblity of never moving again. and if i cant move anything how are the new guys gonna know that i would never ask them to do anything i would not do myself. well since dr dao was able to put humpty dummy back together i can forget that for now....it was a tough winter and with spring and lots of therapy coming im glad and grateful for the guys ive had with me for years. ive often thought that i need to be in the office more and this incident has confirmed they are able to do what has worried me to no end. i needed them to care for my customers as if they were their own family and they have. kudos to all my guys for being upstanding men who appreciate every customer.
thanks again lee, may your spring season phone ring till you have your calendars full..
ill see you in the forums, always looking, rarely speaking. the experts heres dont really need my help with all the customers they help. they just need me to be a good mover.
bye all for now.
sincerly,
don

Thanks for the kind words Don.

I know it is sometimes hard to let go when you're used to being hands on. I worked my first job in this industry with an owner who refused to let the fact that he was a paraplegic stop him from running his business.

In 2001 when he broke his leg, and had to take almost a year off to heal did he realize that the people he had surrounded himself with over the years were able to effectively and efficiently continue running the business as if he were still there.

In my view, it is a compliment to your management that you crews were able to service your customers with no reduction of quality. Means you trained them well.

Get well soon.

Great moving experience with STS!

Postby FandJ » Sat May 12, 2012 11:34 pm

We wanted to write to let everyone know what a fabulous move we just had with Don and STS Movers. The entire process from start to finish went completely smoothly and was quite simply the best moving experience we've ever had.

Once we talked with Don over the phone, he took the time to come all the way down from Orange County to San Diego to do an in-home estimate. His price was fair and competitive with other companies. He was also able to offer next day deliver for our move all the way to Davis, CA. He gave us great advice on packing and made us feel completely comfortable with the logistics.

On the day of the move, he arrive on time and followed through with everything promised. His staff was friendly, quick, and efficient and very respectful of our belongings. In fact, not a single item was broken or damaged. Both the loading and unloading were completed faster than expected.

We've had bad moving experiences in the past and we can say without reservation that we give STS the highest possible recommendation.

Thanks so much Don! We can't wait to move with you again (even though we hate moving ;-))

:D

STS Movers moved me from Irvine to Orange, no problems! They answered my initial phone call, and followed up with me 2 or 3 times before arriving. They were careful with my stuff, and very nice. I recommend them to anyone!
