Joyce movers in CT

Postby BonnieS » Thu Apr 17, 2008 5:50 pm

I hope this is the right place to post this so it will reach folks who might need it.
After reading through this site, a few times, we called a few companies. We were pleased with 3 but liked Joyce best. From that very first call setting up our move from CT to WV in February, everything went smoothly. The office folks were great, prices very competitive, but best and most important, was the team we had to actually move us. We couldn't praise their professionalism and friendliness enough, not without it sounding overdone.
They arrived on time during a sudden, surprise snow storm, made no big deal about navigating a long and very curvy driveway. They came in, protected the floors first off, and went to work. They worked fast, yet took great care of our possessions.
The weather wasn't all that great for the actual move, and one day there torrential downpours, covering some of the mountain roads in mud. They were still here on time, in good humor for what they'd just gone through navigating, and even having had to turn around and take another route.
It was freezing cold as they unloaded, and they were unable to get right up to house, yet not a muttered complaint did we hear to make us feel bad as they worked so hard.
When they finished unloading and cleaning up cardboard and such, they offered numerous times to help us with unpacking, putting items back together. We realize this is part of a mover's job, but that is not what we wanted at the time as we weren't ready for it. You could see they felt they needed to do more for us.
But they didn't. Richard Evans II and his group are fine gentlemen, and you'd be quite lucky to have them move you. We are so glad we went with Joyce.

Thank you Joyce, it is refreshing to hear of a person who had a good experience with a mover. I am moving to CT in a month, Near Danbury. I will tuck their name away for safe keeping.

BonnieS,

Thanks for this great review of Joyce Van Lines, which I've added to the Superlist under Connecticut. I assume that "Richard Evans II" was your the driver and have included his name.
