Callahan Bros / Joyce Van Lines, Connecticut - The BEST movers out there!

Postby DavidV » Fri Jul 18, 2008 12:34 pm

We recently found ourselves in need of a moving company for a long distance move from Connecticut to South Carolina.

After having met with several representatives from various companies, we were impressed by the team at Callahan Brothers, Inc. / Joyce Van Lines of Connecticut.

Bill Adams gave us the most honest and straight-forward quote, and fully explained every aspect of the move. We couldn't come up with 1 question that he hadn't already covered.

Ann and Barb in the office were a great help when we needed them. They knew everything about our move so they dealt with every issue quickly.

I must say, after reading the moving horror stories on this website we were scared of moving day. When Richard Evans, the driver, and his team showed up at our door and got to work, we were put at ease immediately by the unparalleled efficiency and professionalism of everyone loading the truck that day. We didn't have to worry about anything! Things were disappearing from rooms so quickly we couldn't keep up. It was the smoothest, easiest move we had ever experienced, and we've moved a lot!

The truck arrived at the new house on the day and time expected, and Richard and his crew unloaded in no time. And to our delight, nothing was damaged, scratched, or lost.

As promised, Callahan Bros. didn't surprise us with extra fees. In fact the final price came in under the quote, and they weren't looking for ways to make a buck. Such honesty is hard to find in this business, I understand.

I must also note that Richard and his crew were very respectful, cleaning up every bit of garbage left behind, covering the floors, and handling our effects with as much care as we handle them ourselves. And, it seemed they had a good time doing it, which made us have a good time too! They were very upbeat and fun to be around.

Anyone in the Tri-State area looking to move shouldn't bother with anyone else than Callahan Brothers / Joyce Van Lines. You won't be disappointed.

Thanks to everyone at Callahan / Joyce for the most pleasant moving experience imaginable!

George, Mila, and David V.

Sorry, but I don't understand. What's the relationship between Callahan and Joyce? - Oh, I see (looking at the Superlist) that Joyce bought Callahan when the owner retired.

Thanks so much for this excellent review!

You're good Archie.

Bill Adams posts here as a moving consultant from Oxford, CT, so I think we're talking about the same Bill Adams

I am he.
I've printed and posted this review in the drivers' rooms in our Oxford and Cos Cob, Connecticut locations. It is absolutely positive reinforcement for all drivers who see it. I am also grateful to my customer(s) who take the time to come back here and post their reviews.
