Do you have a DOT number for this company? The only Apollo Moving and Storage that is listed with the DOT is in Somerset, New Jersey. Ask them for their DOT and MC numbers. With those numbers we can fully research the company for you. If they don't want to give that to you or if they claim they don't know what it is then drop them immediately.

This is their website: http://www.apollomoving.net/. I don't see a DOT number. Just some Cal-T Number. (whatever that is?)

Are you moving local or to another state? The CAL T number is required for Intra California moves only. Their Cal t begins with 171, that is good. It means they have been in business for quite a while. The new ones start with 190.

I'd suggest you check out the California Moving & Storage Association for advice specific to California moves, www.thecmsa.org.

I'm moving locally. It's a small 1 bedroom apt. move.

Thanks for replies :)

Review this for California info:
http://www.thecmsa.org/html/consumers/b ... movers.htm

One concern is that they advertise interstate moving to the Western States, but do NOT advertise a DOT number. The Cal T number is only valid for local moving. Just a red flag, but not totally applicable to your move.

I'd call the PUC or CMSA to check them out.

Thanks Nancy,

I just called the CMSA. They said that it's a good company.

I'm just a worrier and wanted to make sure that everything will be ok up to my move. I love this site.
