Moving from CT to San Diego, CA - any advice

I am very happy that I have found this website!!
I recently started researching moving companies and surely got phone calls/e-mails from companies which claimed they were reliable 400-N Tariff companies. And what? - I found them on your BLACK LIST Thank you!

I am moving from CT to CA in April. I now live in a 1 BR (1000 sq.feet) apartment, nothing huge...

From what I read here, Broadway Express seems to be one good idea, but I am not sure if it is actually better to load/unload everything myself. Is it better than U-Pack??

What full service moving companies would you recommend? Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

Magda, here is a prior thread on Joyce. The person said she was going to go with them - http://www.movingscam.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6998 I think it would be worth at least getting an estimate from them.
