I just used Gentle Giant for unloading help in MA. They are kind of expensive ($130/hr) but they were very professional and worked very quickly and efficiently.

They unloaded a truck into a second floor apartment with a tricky staircase in half the time it took me and my friends to load it from a first floor apartment.

Thanks for this mini-review! I'll add it to the other reviews we have of Gentle Giant for local moves:

--Gentle Giant (Wheaton) in Somerville.
This company (unrelated to the Atlas agent in Los Angeles) became a Wheaton agent in 2004. It is said to be expensive, but it has some very good comments on local moves in several posts (almost all were quoting hearsay, however):

Nick's and Marathon Movers are two other companies that have been praised on this board for local help.

In AZ, you can call www.LaborReady.com for workers. Unloading requires much less skill than loading and goes at least 2-3 times as fast.

thanks guys!~ i also talked to diane at broadway, and asked her to book me with a driver who "is happy to help pack" ~smile.
I was going to hire a few local people on start end and finish end, but i would rather pay the money and hire professionals.....you never know if locals are going to show up ...or what might happen.
i have contacted Camelback moving on the arizona side. any one ever use them to unload?
thanks!!!!!!!!!

DianA at Broadway. Let's at least try to keep the two people straight. I have enough problems as it is.
