Moving from Utah to Colorado - Any suggestions on mover?

Postby tjfoster » Tue Jun 13, 2006 11:26 pm

Any recommendations for a moving company?

First time posting here.

I called Sugarhouse Moving and they are CMC. They told me they use weight to formulate estimates.

Not moving an entire household.

Oh, gosh. Unfortunately, Diane's mega-list of moves by state does not have any for Utah.

I'd suggest calling some local real estate agents and see which companies have performed well for thier past clients. If anything bad has happened, you'l hear about it!

Thanks, MusicMom, for your suggestion! I will contact some real estate agents (preferabely relocation specialists) to get their opinions. I need to get someone set up asap. I seem to recall using Sugarhouse moving and storage in the past and they good as well as honest. :D

Great - I'm eager to do some "construction" on my Utah listing. :)

Diane,

I will be talking to a real estate agent shortly and will get their suggestions. My problem is I live in CO right now and need to get the move set up from here. My ex and I have sold our marital house and are splitting up our household.

Would it be possible to let an agent in Utah into the house to see all the things that must be moved, or are you going to do this with a described inventory over the phone? If the first way, then you can get a more accurate estiamte. If the second way, you may only get a non-binding estiamte, and the price can fluctuate depending on the actual weight of the shipment.

They will have access to the house, thank goodness. My ex will let 'em in. I've contacted two moving companies so far, Mesa Systems Van Lines and Sugarhouse Moving and & Storage.

Thanks for your interest. I love this forum!

Check out Arrow Moving and Storage, a Mayflower agent with offices in Salt Lake, Colorado Springs and Greely. http://www.arrowmoving.net/salt_lake_city.php4

Arrow is a fairly large hauling agent in the Unigroup system and self haul a high percentage of their orders booked thru their six locations. They also offer mobile container service at their Salt Lake location.
