They don't look so good either:

Have you looked at contacting movers from Diane's threads that have positive comments here on Movingscam.com?

This seems to be another mover (Amber).

I have a quote from
Advantage Moving & Storage
222 RAILROAD AVENUE
MILPITAS, CA 95035
800 909 9982

But the quote has US DOT NO. 72029 on top that is Steven Van Lines! I guess they are a booking agent then?

I'm so confused. I have called all the recommended movers in the list now and panicking since its so close to the move date and we do not have any mover yet. We wasted all our time in movers who caontcted us through 123movers.com and turned to be scammers based on feedbaks posted here.

Is there hope?

What came of the ABF quote? And then did you look into Emove.com or laborready.com for help loading/unloading? Did you call Mooovers?

If the estimate has Stevens' number on it, make sure that fact is verified before signing an estimate, and you might go to Stevens web site and see if in fact they are authorized agents

ABF is our last option in case we can not find a full service mover. I am hoping I can reserve them until the last minute if nothing works out. In any case, we will need to use ABF last day only since it will take us 7-8 days to drive to Ann Arbor and I don't want our shipment to reach there before us.

I contacted Moovers as well. They will provide an estimate soon.
Keeping my fingers crossed.

Advantage Moving and Storage in Milpitas is an agent of Stevens (US DOT # 72029; MC # 74681), a mid-sized van line based in Saginaw, Michigan. They have held their interstate operating authority uninterrupted since 1976. The company celebrated their 100th anniversary last year.

Stevens is a recommended provider for both the U of M and their alumni association.
