*All My Sons Moving Out of Greenville, SC - Anybody Got Any Advice

Postby traceycrockett » Fri Apr 20, 2007 2:13 pm

I have a client that's moving from Greenville to Sandpoint, ID. I prefer direct service carriers rather than van lines. All My Sons is a direct service carrier but I've never used them. Has anyone heard anything about their service, employees, dependability, etc?

Any information is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Tracey

'direct service carrier' rather than van lines? Maybe they should hire you to write their ads, that sounds good, but is meaningless gobblity gook. All my sons has been discussed here many times, put their name in the search engine and you will probably have your answer right there.

Please don't use All My Sons. They have a horrible reputation (as a van line). You can click on Search at the top of the page and enter in "All My Sons" (in quotes) to see what's been said about them.

Have you contacted Moovers or Delancey Street?

I think Moovers and Delancey are a bit out of range for this move.

Try those listed in the link Farrah just posted. This is a (far-from-complete) compilation of reviews of movers by state. It's always growing. If you find one that's not on the list, please let us know.

Try asking some real estate agents in your area. They always know who's doing good service for their clients.

I suspect your client has a large load of fairly expensive household goods since their moving to Sandpoint. If you value your reputation, you might want to look a little farther for another "direct service carrier" - whatever that is. All My Sons has only been providing service in Greenville since last March.

Smith Dray Line, a United Van Lines and Mayflower Transit affiliate, has provided professional moving services throughout North and South Carolina since the early 1900's. The owners have offices for both carriers in Greenville. Cardinal Moving and Storage, a North American Van Lines agent, has been in Greenville a little over 10 years. Lytle's Transfer, an Atlas agent, used to have an office in Duncan but I think they may have been replaced by Hilldrup, another United agent with a good reputation whose home office is based in Virginia.

Just received a note informing me that Lytle's Transfer & Storage, Inc. is still operating out of Greenville. In fact they received a Hauling Excellence Award from Atlas in 2006.

Thanks Rick! Diane, can you add that to your Supermover list?
