Here's a list of movers in the LA area. I would definitely call Andy's Transfer (North American) as they have great review. Also try Delancey Street and Moovers Inc.

Hii ...i have used Gemini ( agent of United Vanlines ) when i moved from Los Angeles (Los Feliz area ) to Nashville , TN ( this distance is around 2000 miles ) . I had a good experience . They charged me around $2900 for my move which includes full packing , moving . storing my stuff in their LA storage for 10 extra days. Since the weight of my stuff was less than what they estimated , they gave me discount in my final bill. The final weight for my things was around 2500 lbs. You can do the math yourself. Another tip for you is : If you can buy wardrobe boxes ( check craigslist , if somebody is giving away for free or selling for dirt cheap price ) , you can save money as they charged me almost $100 for 3 wardrobe boxes. Also , they provide insurance ( other than 60 cents per pound which each and every mover provides as a rule ). But the minimum amount for which they provide insurance is $15,000 . Thats another $200 in premium. So if you feel , you dont have anyting which is very expensive , you can omit on that.
In fact i have posted a topic " Moving from Nashville to Los Angeles" few days back , if you wish , you can have a look on that too. As i am moving back to LA and still had some queries which thankfully Diane cleared for me . All the best !!

Hii ..i forgot to mention in my reply , i asked Allied vanlines ( i guess they have a office in Beverly hills ) for a quote. It was extremely high so i didnt consider them ( around $4400).
Another company i considered was California new york express moving ( moveeast.com) , who also gave very high quote ( around $4100 ) . Also the person who came to give estimate from this company told me all kind of horror stories about the his competitors. He tried hard to brain wash me . So beware of these kinds too . I hope it helps !!

California New York Express is not a company we recommend on this site. :)

I worked for Beverly Hills Transfer as a sales rep...they're ok...every company has its problems. Some more, some less. The intrastate dispatcher at BHTS is a very good guy. He runs several crews intrastate.

Good luck.

You could see if Golden Eagle (United) in Upland is willing to come to Beverly Hills for an estimate. My move with them is merely half through, but I am pleased with everything from my quoted fair price, to a driver and packer who took good care of my stuff. I have my drivers number and he lets me know when he'll drop off. These guys seem top notch. Remember you pay for quality and for me it's been worth every dime.
