REVIEW: Andy's Transfer and Storage - LA, CA to Seattle, WA

I was blown away by the service of this company. They went above and beyond anything I expected with no extra cost to me.

First off, the in home estimator, Jim Smith, was very nice guy. We went through the entire apartment and he gave us an estimate of 4000lbs (Note: companies over the phone were quoting 3000lbs). We ended up having around 4100lbs, but we only paid for the 4000lbs because of the locked in estimate!

When picking up our items, they were right on time. The 3 loaders packed our furniture very carefully in blankets followed by plastic rap. They also took apart our end-tables, coffee tables and kitchen table and wrapped them in blankets (all free). Overall, a nice crew with no problems.

Then comes a big mistake we made. We had forgotten 6 large plastic tubs in our underground garage. By the time we realized this, the moving truck was 2.5 hours down the road at a new job. We called the driver, and he sent someone over to pick up our 6 tubs for FREE! I was shocked by their willingness to help us out!

While on the road, the driver was in contact with us by phone. He was also available whenever I called him with questions.

Then comes another mistake by us (I know we were having a bad week :) ). Our delivery was on a Sunday. I had said I wanted to pay for the move by Money Order. However, I was unaware you had to have cash to buy a money order from the store. A couple hours before the movers arrived, I called the driver, Rodolpho (sp?), and informed him I couldn't get the money order and needed to pay by credit card. The driver contacted a person from Andy's and the person went into the office specifically for me to process the credit card number for FREE! (remember this was a Sunday so it was his day off). Once again their service went above and beyond.

The delivery went very well. The large truck had problems getting close to our apartment due to a narrow parking lot, so the workers had a longer haul than we had estimated (once again no extra charge). We received all of our items, and after unloading everything we have not found one bit of damage that was not due to our crummy packing, aka not padding some glasses in box.

Overall, I'm very happy we used this company thanks to movingscams previous reviews. They are up front, no hidden fees, honest, and willing to go above and beyond their basic service without charging extra. Highly endorsed by my wife and I.

Couldn't agree more with the above review and had a very similar experience. I used Andy's to move from Los Angeles to Sacramento - 10,000 pounds plus. From start to finish, everything went as smooth as could possibly be expected. The estimator Jim Smith did a spot on job with his estimate. Janet who answers the phones was always very helpful and pleasant. Tim, Chris, Tom and the crew who moved us were outstanding. They moved all of our stuff down a very narrow flight of stairs without a single mark. I cant say enough about my experience these guys and would recommend this company without reservation. I want to extend a special thanks to Tim who runs a very tight ship and takes real pride in his job. Outstanding Tim.
