A Professional Move Company

Postby esajwanii » Fri Aug 24, 2007 8:17 pm

Hello, I was wondering if anyone has heard of Montecito-CA based moving company called themselves (A professional move Company). I just used them for my move from Hillsboro-OR to Chandler-AZ, my stuff was suppose to be in Chandler-AZ on Aug/15/2007 but I have not seen my stuff until today Aug/24/2007. They are not responding to my emails or phone call, since this afternoon their toll free no 888 6683880 is also not in service. Can anyone suggest what shall I do as all my stuff is now lost, and I am staying with my family which includes my 5-wks old son in a hotel.

We are also paying for the apartment as well in chandler-AZ at the same time but apt doesn't have anything as all the stuff is with movers. Any help will be more than appreciated.
Thx -

Oh dear, they've been mentioned here before:

If you don't have your things by Monday, your best bet is to contact Move Rescue at www.moverescue.com . They have 30 days after the last listed delivery date on your service order or bill of lading (which sounds like around August 15)to deliver your goods. Hopefully they won't take that long, but they can. Please let us know what happens.

Thanks for all the help and suggestion, I am very concern as google and mapquest doesn't show their physical address
1187 COAST VILLAGE RD.
MONTECITO CA, 93108.

This is from Google maps, the zip code doesn't exist in Montecito, CA.

1187 Coast Village Rd
1187 Coast Village Rd, Santa Barbara, Santa Barbara, CA 93108
1187 Coast Village Cir
1187 Coast Village Cir, Santa Barbara, Santa Barbara, CA 93108
Also not to mention they charge me 10% once I made a booking with them and then 50% after they loaded everything on the truck. I have just learnt from this web-site that if they are asking for to much down payment then the company is nothing but scam.
Also I was wondering if I need to make a FBI report, other than calling moverescue?

Oh, dear. Is this the company with Carrie Ateass?

Searching Mapquest with just the street address and the zip code says it's in Santa Barbara, not Montecito, although it's close to Montecito so I guess the mail gets there. However, it's fairly useless to you, as it's a Rented Postal Mailbox (#170).

FBI can't/won't do anything. They've got their hands full with other "more important" stuff (what the DC bureau told me in 2003).

Finally, after lot of arguments and fighting with David (the owner of the a professional Move) my stuff showed up on Aug/30/2007 after 12 days. But half of the things where missing, the loaders did not even wait for me to count the box's, also they switch our new mattress with 15 years old Dirty, filthy mattress.

The loaders where not interested in knowing what is missing, the only answer they had is to talk to Manager David and all they are interested is their BIG FAT TIP. Telling David about missing item is like hitting your head against the wall, his answer is same it was in the same pile and it was sitting in my warehouse. Oh ya then how the earth you change the mattress, you stole my two new computes, stole my new Panasonic DVD-RW player, also other things which where stolen where new Kitchen cooking set from Kitchen Aid, Black & Decker Food Processor, and couple of small size box's with misc house hold items including hair dryer, hair Iron, new contact lens, contact lens solution and other misc items which I don't have an account for.

This moving company is unreliable, unprofessional, and untrustworthy and bunch of lyres. Even if they offer me their services for free I would never consider doing business with A Professional Move. I don't understand how on the earth BBB can issues them License, A Professional Move should be black listed and have their Lic Revoke. They screw people and all they care about is making money by stealing your most valuable stuff.

File a theft report for the stolen electronics. I hope you have the serial numbers recorded somewhere.
