Reputable Moving Companies in NJ

Postby nj_consumer » Fri Nov 21, 2008 7:23 am

Hi All:

We have a fairly simple move within NJ and shopped around for reputable moving companies.

We narrowed it down to two University Movers (Rahway) and Molloy Bros (Edison).

We decided to use Molloy despite some of the cautionary tales posted elsewhere on this site. I will go into the specifics of why we chose them as well as our experience within one week.

We hope to help other consumers with their decision just as the other posts on this site helped us.

Well, we finally moved and got settled in.

As promised in an earlier message, I'm posting this review of the movers we chose: Molloy Bros. Moving & Storage.

In brief:

For our local (cross-town, really) move in NJ, we found Molloy Bros. to be a very reputable and professional organization with genuine concern for customer relationship management. We were extremely satisfied with the move and would wholeheartedly recommend Molloy for your move as well.

Some details:

Our first contact with Molloy was through the estimator (Art) who visited our house and gave us an estimate along with detailed information about the company. The estimate and package from Molloy, with information about the company and management, was thoroughly professional. It made us feel comfortable about using this organization.

On our moving day, we were given an approximate start time of 8am. To our (pleasant) surprise, the Molloy truck showed up early (7:30). The crew was professional, courteous and respectful. Orisson (“Poppy”), Mike, Julio, Robert and Jones comprised the team. They spent a good amount of time carefully wrapping our furniture to prevent damage in transit. They did a great job.

When we got to our destination, a Quality Control Officer (Tom) visited us. This was an unexpected and reassuring touch. We appreciated this attention to detail.

Twelve hours later, after all the items were delivered to our destination, the guys were still courteous and respectful. The next day we noticed some very minor items that were affected by the move (light scratch, etc). We contacted Molloy and they scheduled a prompt visit by the Quality Control Officer to address these items. We were very pleased with this responsiveness after the move - Many companies may not respond in a similar situation, but Molloy did.

We are now satisfied customers and will be repeat customers in the future for our other moving needs. Great job Molloy Bros!
