**Joyce Van Lines great move across country

Postby mgill » Fri Jun 17, 2011 10:37 pm

I had a great move from Manhattan to the California's Bay Area with Joyce Van Lines in March 2011. My meeting and estimate with Bill Adams was pleasant and he had a calming personality which led me to choose the company. He was nice and and I got a good vibe from him. The move day went very well. The three men that helped in NY were very pleasant to work with. They all enjoyed working with each other which made for a relaxed move. This meant a lot to me. I'm grateful that they took my couch (that I didn't want) away for me. They had to carry it down 6 flights of stairs since it didn't fit in the elevator. They wrapped my furniture carefully and the lead was organized as he took time to go over the inventory with me. It was a huge relief that they were so nice and took good care of my things. It took about 2 hours to move my studio apartment.
June in the office was great, I felt comfortable calling her for advice and questions and she kept in good contact with me as the movers came closer to California.
The move in was fine. Again the movers were very nice and it only took about an hour to unload everything. I was very impressed with how they let me check off each item on the inventory list as it was unloaded. Everything arrived and all was in the same condition as when it was picked up. For a studio apartment that had as much stuff as a one bedroom cost about $3200.
