Mayflower carriers in DC area, Hampden Moving and Storage

Postby deb » Thu May 26, 2005 11:53 am

Hi...
I got a quote from a Mayflower carrier.
They are called Hampden Moving and Storage, in Abindgon MD...
I cannot follow them specifically on the web.

Independent smaller folks who transport for large van lines...how do I know they are OK? Is just working with the bigger Van Line assurrance enough, or is there another way to check it out?

I just called the 800 number for Mayflower, and ended up with this Hampden Moving and storage...
Please explain.
Thanks
Deborah

Hampden Moving and Storage is a fabulous group! They have helped me on multiple moves. I think they focus on the name Hampden a bit more because of the negative image some people in Baltimore still have of Mayflower. They are a family owned company that took great care of me. I am sure they would do the same for you.

Sorry, but what do you mean by this? Did something happen with Mayflower in Baltimore?

Mayflower corp is headquartered in Indianapolis, Indianna and they moved our beloved Baltimore Colt football team to Indianapolis in the middle of the night--without notice.

Mayflower is headquartered (with United Van Lines) as part of Unigroup in Fenton, MO. Has been since the mid/late nineties.

The colts moved years and years ago before the buyout-at that time ayflower was in Indiana.-----And Music Mom---you are confusing the Oriole baseball curse that the dreaded Yankees will not win a world series as long as Mike Mussina is on their team.. And yes the INDIANAPOLIS COLTS are indeed still asleep!
