I-Do Moving & Storage, Inc

Postby misha » Fri Sep 23, 2005 10:03 pm

Do you have any info on I-Do Moving & Storage, Inc. located in Atlanta, GA? I was referred to them from 123movers (online) who provide quotes from multiple moving companies. I have spoken to Diane. Phone # is 678-567-5250.

Any info/help is appreciated. Thanks.

ANYONE who contacts you from 123movers.com should be avoided. This site is one of the two main offenders in channeling victims to scammers.

As for I-Do Movers, I-DON'T!!! They are not licensed. They received a DOT number apparently several years ago, as it is 928680, but have no interstate license to go along with it. One truck and driver, and between the two categories have managed to fail 3 out of 4 roadside inspections, plus picked up a moving violation.

The BBB has them as Unsatisfactory due to unanswered complaints. 11 in the past three years, 7 of those inthe last twelve months (plus one from a separate report under a slightly different address)

Still thinking about them?

:D We are not part of 123 movers. We are a licensed mover here in GA. We have only failed one traffic stop. We are a family owned & operated company. We are not on the black list and will only participate in good commerce.

I-Do, MM didn't say you were part of 123movers or that you were onn the blacklist. How about answering why you have 11 complaints in 36 months when you are only running one truck according to your records.

123movers actually called my office the other day to try and sign me up for their great service. They let me know about all the extra business they could provide. I let them know what I thought about their service and the type of companies they were recommending.

The funny part is you can tell how bad 123 is by just listening to the salesman fumble through his script. They do not have aclew about the moving industry.

I-Do now has 20 BBB complaints over the past 36 months:
http://atlanta.bbb.org/WWWRoot/Report.a ... m=13002919

This is a good example of how people should consult multiple complaint sites if possible to get a complete picture of the company they're looking at. The company doesn't look bad on the protectyourmove.gov site or the GA state complaint site, but the BBB record tells a different story.

It is also important to take into account the meaning of each complaint source. For example, I noticed they had 2 complaints with the PSC in Georgia. I would say 2 compalints with the Georgia PSC is equal to about 20 complaints with the BBB.

Good point. I see that Mark the Mover has NO complaints, and they did 3500 moves that year. Atlanta Peach has 2 complaints, but they did 7000 moves. These are intrastate moves within GA.
