Intl Move from Arizona to Australia - Omega Shipping?

Postby jameehan » Wed Jun 28, 2006 3:59 pm

Hello,

Can anyone recommend a reputable, reliable, honest, professional company to do a full door-to-door move from Arizona to Brisbane, Australia.

I have talked to several, and had then decided on Omega Shipping, until my husband found this forum. It seems that there might be an issue with this company.

Please advise.
Thanks in advance

You can contact any of the movers in the Sticky at the top of this forum, or any local agent involved with a major van line can set up an international move.

PLEASE STAY AWAY. THEY PICKED UP ALL OF MY PRIVATE AND PROFESSIONAL GOODS TO SHIP FROM WASHINTON TO EUROPE IN APRIL. THEY PROMISED TO BE DELIVERED IN ca. 3 WEEKS - IN JULY (NOW) I DO NOT IN EVEN KNOW WHETHER THE CONTAINERS EXIST. THEY DID NOT SEND THE ORIGINAL CONTRACT, DID NOT GIVE ME BACK THE ORIGINAL TITLE OF MY CAR, THEY DID NOT SEND ME THE INSURANCE DOCUMENTS. IN EUROPE, I FOUND OUT THAT THE PACKING LIST WHAT THEY PROVIDED IS NOT ACCEPTABLE IN EUROPE. THEY DO NOT INFORM ME WHERE ARE MY CONTAINERS AND BASED ON THE NUMBERS PROVIDED SUCH CONTAINERS DO NOT EXSIST. JOHN HANCZOR HAS INTRUDUCED HIMSELF AS THE MOST TRUSTABLE PERSON - BUT MY EXPERIENCE IS JUST THE OPPOSIT. AFTER THEY HAVE YOUR GOODS, THE FRIENDLYNESS STOPS AND YOU WILL BE TOLD TO PAY 100% UP FRONT OTHERWISE NO TITLE, NO INSURANCE, NO GOODS, NO SHIPPING INFO.
Too late now, but I found out that OMEGA has very bad reputation in Europe.

I could not agree more - STAY AWAY FROM OMEGA SHIPPING AND JOHN HANCZOR! He is a complete fraud and is operating an entirely shady business. As soon as they pack up your stuff to move, you will NEVER get a response from him or his company again. They will keep your belongings indefinitely. I don't trust him or his company and I wished I never hired them - I would advise anyone to STAY AWAY!

Oh my Lord how I agree! I have never met such a shady character in my life. Omega Shipping is completely dishonest.

thankyou!!!! for letting people know. I was about to go with Omega and now am choosing another company. We are moving from Kentucky to Sydney Australia in a few weeks and REALLY need to get the ball rolling!

I am now thinking of going with Sterling or LTV International Relocations. Am leaning more towards Sterling as I can't find anything much on LTV. Have had them both out to do a quote. If anyone knows anything please let me know. thanks
Thanks

Depending on where you live in Arizona, there are a few good companies in the Phoenix area. There is Desert Sun and Mountain Moving.

Thanks

FYI, Omega's listed with the BBB in NJ as of 12/24/07, so despite their shadiness, they've a false sheen of respectability.

I checked their profile: they already two complaints against them.

Almost all companies are listed at the BBB, no matter if they're good or not.
