Review on Joyce Van Lines

Postby LDM509 » Mon Jul 10, 2006 11:44 am

After getting a favorable recommendation for Joyce Van Lines on this forum, we contacted them and were impressed with Bill Adams who came to our home and provided an estimate of a bit under $4000 to move us from CT to AZ. We had minimal furniture ( dining room set, bookcase, stereo cabinet and misc small stuff) Mostly boxes-98 of them.

Since we lived about 25 mins from their facility in Oxford Ct, we were able to drive there and pick up used but clean boxes for free. They gave us way more boxes than we needed plus plenty of wrapping paper.

The movers arrived on time and were friendly and professional. The furniture was also delivered on time and in good condition. The driver and helper in AZ were friendly and professional as well. No problems other than a slightly dented lampshade which can be ironed out.

I would definitely recommend them.

OOPS forgot to mention that the actual charge came to $3741...lower than the estimate by almost $200!

Thanks, Lynn, and I'll add your update to my summary post on CT.
